Senator from Windham reported that Governor Scott appointed Manoli in October 2024. The institutions committee voted 5-0 to confirm her; the committee noted Manoli's more than 38 years of state government experience, including managing the state school construction program and serving in BGS as principal assistant and deputy commissioner. The report said she served as commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehicles beginning in February 2018 and is prepared to lead BGS's workforce of about 330 employees and manage the department's roughly $60,000,000 annual budget.
The Senate took a roll-call vote; the clerk recorded "The ayes 26, the nays 0" and the chair announced the appointment confirmed. Senator from Rutland had moved to suspend the rules to confirm appointees whose names were not underlined on the calendar without debate; that motion carried before the confirmation vote.
Manoli's term as reported runs from October 24, 2024, to and including February 28, 2027, and until a successor is appointed and has qualified.
