The Hillsboro School District 1J board unanimously approved annual revisions to the district’s drug, alcohol and tobacco prevention plan at its May 6 meeting.
Board member Director Kim moved and Director Nancy Thomas seconded the motion. Director Brooke (presenting staff) said the district maintains metrics on program effectiveness and offered to provide those measures to any board member who requests them; the board requested that the data also be included in a future board update so all members can access it.
The motion passed on a roll call vote. The board asked staff to provide performance metrics and trend data that show program impact over time and to include community‑partnership information where relevant.
