He said the board should act promptly because the lead time for the unit is about 14 weeks and the bid hold period could expire, potentially forcing a rebid.
Board members made a motion to approve the base bid plus Alternate 1 — which includes 12 months of service maintenance — and identified the fiscal impact as $76,660.00 with the budget source listed as local FY25 CIP funds. The motion carried after the board voted “Aye.”
The board did not discuss any contract amendments or specific start and completion dates during the public session. Staff noted the project was already included in the district’s FY25 capital improvement plan.
The board moved on to the next agenda item after the vote; no further questions about the generator contract were raised in the meeting minutes provided.
