Board of Health approves updated volunteer MOU with Flint Hills Volunteer Center

"We originally established this in 2020, and they did provide us a lot of volunteers during our COVID efforts," Spencer said, explaining the MOU update was primarily to identify Diane Creek as the agency representative and liaison. Spencer said the update will also enable the volunteer center to supply volunteers for a community baby-shower event scheduled for May 31.
Commissioners moved and seconded a motion to approve the updated memorandum of understanding between the Riley County Health Department and the Flint Hills Volunteer Center; the motion passed without a named roll-call tally in the transcript.
The update formalizes volunteer roles and assigns the health director as the county contact for volunteer coordination. Spencer said she had attached the revised MOU with Diane Creek's contact information to the meeting materials and invited questions. No additional questions were raised before the motion to approve was passed.
The Board of Health then recessed and reconvened as the Board of County Commissioners to continue the regular agenda.
