The Area Plan Commission on May 1 approved a consultant services agreement to complete revisions to the local parking ordinance and related zoning references. Commissioners voted 8-0 to authorize the contract.
Planning staff said the proposed consultant, who had previously worked on the city—s parking ordinance, will return to finish the work. The contract will be funded by existing line-item transfers in the planning budget; staff told the commission they expected the consultant to complete the work within a couple of months of starting.
A motion to approve the agreement passed on roll call with eight affirmative votes. Commissioners said they welcomed the consultant—s return and noted the work will support consistent updates between city and county parking provisions and will be presented for final adoption after review.
