Gary schools highlight out-of-school-time program, track team and May 31 parent conference

Team captain Kayla Williams told the board the team had been training without an indoor facility, practicing through challenging conditions, and welcomed public support at their first outdoor meet.
The district announced a "Power of Partnership" parent conference scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 08:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Westside Leadership Academy; First Lady Crystal Melton is listed as the keynote speaker and the district provided printed flyers and a QR code for registration.
