The Traffic Safety Commission voted unanimously (4–0) on April 28 to remove two parking stalls on North Main Street that were obstructing sight lines for a driveway serving adjacent townhomes.
KL Engineering reported the existing statutory no‑parking buffer did not provide adequate AASHTO-standard sight distance for drivers exiting the driveway. The firm estimated that removing the two parking spaces would add roughly 150 feet of sight distance for drivers who pull forward, substantially improving the ability to see northbound traffic.
Commissioners moved and approved an action to remove the northern two stalls and to coordinate implementation with the district and city staff for appropriate signage and pavement markings. The city will finalize the removal and update enforcement and signage following council approval where required.
