The board’s action follows an inspection report presented by Ramiro Guerra, code enforcement supervisor for the City of San Antonio’s Development Services Department, who described open electrical junction boxes, exposed wires and a worn, potentially hazardous electrical installation. Guerra said inspectors found boarded windows, rotten framing and evidence that occupants were using portable generators after the property’s electric service had been shut off.
“This is what concerned us most because it’s a life-and-safety hazard,” Guerra said during the hearing.
