USBE to add teacher ID fields so alternate assessment rostering can be automatic

The fields will be conditionally required for students identified as 1% and in grades 3–11 and USBE will validate that the submitted teacher ID is a valid Cactus ID.
Why it matters: Staff said API rostering will save LEAs time, reduce manual entry errors, and allow teachers to access student score reports and administer benchmarks earlier in the year. Districts were told to provide the SIF mapping to their SIS developers so vendors can add the fields. USBE said it expects to publish the mapping in the October UTREx specification and aims to have the receiving capability available by the October 1 submission period, though it could be delayed to the next submission period if development workload is high.
Next steps: USBE said the SIF mapping will be included in the conference materials and will be shared with assessment directors and special education administrators in upcoming meetings; districts should start coordinating with SIS vendors once the mapping is published.
