Senator Limmer presented the bill and said the Office of the Revisor of Statutes had identified numerous technical fixes and that the office sought to include as many corrections as possible. He noted the bill was late because the revisor's office wanted to ensure coverage of identified errors before finalizing the package.
Committee members asked procedural questions about distribution; Senator Pappas noted the full text was available online to avoid printing voluminous copies. The A motion to suspend provisions of Senate Concurrent Resolution 4 and adopt the previous committee report was moved and adopted by voice vote, and the committee recommended the bill to pass.
Senator Limmer said Deputy Revisor Jeff Case was present to answer technical questions if needed. No substantive policy changes were discussed during the Rules Committee hearing; the bill was described as technical and noncontroversial.
