Montcalm commissioners approve equalization report, accept audit and award roof contract; several routine items passed

The Montcalm County Board of Commissioners approved a series of routine and substantive items during its April 28 regular meeting, including adoption of the 2025 county equalization report, acceptance of the 2024 county audit, and a contract award for roof replacement at the Public Safety Building.

Equalization: The board voted to adopt Resolution 2025-02, the 2025 county equalization report, which listed total equalized real property values of $3,995,850,855 and total equalized value including personal property of $4,338,568,480. Eagle materials-management grant and recycling event: The board accepted an Eagle Materials Management Planning and Program grant for $93,307, a one-year reimbursement grant for recycling/household-hazardous-waste program costs, and approved holding an electronics-recycling event in Greenville on Sept. 13, 2025, using Valley City Recycling at a cost not to exceed $4,000.
