The Palm Desert City Council approved, on consent, the Cultural Resources Preservation Committee (CRPC) 2025–2026 work plan and accepted a citywide historic resources survey and historic context statement.
Carlos Flores of Development Services said a consultant (ARG) prepared the survey and context statement and that the CRPC reviewed and recommended the items for council approval. David Tolzman, president of the local historical society, thanked the city for funding the update and noted the earlier survey had been done roughly 20 years ago.
Council voted to adopt both consent items; the motion passed 5–0.
