Yamhill County commissioners approve contracts, opioid-settlement participation and several routine items

The Yamhill County Board of Commissioners approved multiple contracts and routine actions during its April 24 meeting, voting unanimously on several items that the board described as time-sensitive or standard business.
Major contract approvals
- Yamhill County Public Works and Roy Hauck Construction LLC: The board approved a contract for the county’s 2025 overlay project in the amount of $785,907.70, effective upon issuance of the county’s notice to proceed through Sept. 30, 2025.
- Yamhill County Public Works and Sierra Santa Fe Corporation: The board approved a chip-seal contract for 2025 in the amount of $1,484,740, effective upon notice to proceed through Sept. 5, 2025.
Other business and routine items
- Right-of-way dedication deed: The board accepted a right-of-way dedication deed from Cyclops Properties LLC and Charles J. Dolenz and Scotty L. Dolenz. County staff noted some recording logistics and requested original signatures for recording purposes; commissioners asked staff to prepare the final signed documents.
- Locum Tenens contract amendment: The board approved an amendment to an existing agreement with Locum Tenens (board order 15-269) for Health & Human Services to provide interim psychiatric and medical coverage while recruitment continues; the amendment is retroactive to April 8, 2025.
- Opioid settlement participation: The board authorized county council to sign participation forms to include Yamhill County in proposed national opioid settlement agreements involving Target and Costco. County staff provided preliminary settlement estimates for the county from Target and Costco and said final numbers are expected within a week or two.
- Resolution recognizing Vietnamese American Remembrance Day: The board adopted Resolution 25-04-24-1 recognizing April 30, 2025 as Vietnamese American Remembrance Day.
Consent agenda and other votes
The board also approved the consent agenda (including declared surplus shotguns and meeting minutes) and moved other routine matters without recorded dissent. All motions referenced in the meeting passed by voice vote with unanimous “aye” responses.
Commissioners provided brief updates following the business items and scheduled an executive session for a future date as part of routine meeting closure.
