Committee advances three amendments to county 10-year water and sewer plan

The Transportation Infrastructure Energy Environment Committee voted to move favorable CR 30 7 20 20 5, the December cycle of amendments to Prince George's County's 10-year water and sewer plan, after a brief staff presentation and no committee discussion.
"CR 30 7 20 20 5 is the December cycle of amendments to the, county's 10 year water and sewer plan," County staff member Mister Battle told the committee, listing three applications covered by the resolution. The committee recorded a 3-0 vote in favor of the recommendation.
The resolution covers three separate requests, each seeking a redesignation from category 5 to category 4. According to Battle's presentation, the requests are: 24 W O 1 Glorious International Christian Center (District 9), which would allow construction of a 350,000-square-foot church; 24 P 05 Allentown Parcel 232 (District 8), proposing three single-family dwellings; and 24 P 07 Johnny M Johnson (second property), a site where a property owner intends to build a personal residence and which does not require a public preliminary plan of subdivision.
Battle told the committee the planning board had reviewed the applications and concurred with the county executive's recommendation for approval. Committee members moved, seconded and recorded the favorable recommendation with a roll call vote that produced three ayes and no nays. The clerk noted the motion carried 3-0.
The redesignations to category 4 allow applicants to file preliminary plans of subdivision and proceed in the development process. Battle also noted minor map updates to acknowledge properties already connected to the sewer system or eligible for connection.
