Tim Littlejohn, Director of Planning and Development, presented the case and displayed maps and a concept plan showing four parcels to be absorbed into PD-181; parcels to the south will be absorbed into Track 1 and the northern parcels into Track 1 of the planned development, Littlejohn said. Notices sent to nearby property owners produced three responses in opposition that the staff quantified as affecting 8.46 acres.
Littlejohn told council that the request met the criteria for approval within the Land Development Code and that the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval. Following a public hearing where no one came forward to speak, the council voted 6–0 to approve the rezoning. The motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem McAllister and seconded by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Craver.
Council members remarked that it will be informative to revisit the site in future years as development replaces existing fields.
No conditions beyond the standard PD absorption were reported in the presentation.
