Ames CSD board adopts 2024–25 budget amendment, approves 2025–26 certified budget and accepts gifts

CFO Sherry Reeser told the board the district received the FY 2023–24 annual audit report and provided hard copies to members. Reeser said the audit contained one finding, which the district has addressed: the board president's signature needed to appear on certain contracts the state treats as official agreements (for example, officials officiating certain events). Reeser said the district will place the audit on the next meeting agenda for formal approval and invited directors to submit questions by email.
Other routine procedural votes at the meeting — including approval of the consent agenda and the meeting agenda — were also recorded as passing unanimously.
