The Village of Tivoli’s police reported 11 incidents and 14 uniform traffic tickets for the month of March during the April 16, 2025 Board of Trustees meeting. The police also reported two arrests and that total fines and fees remitted to the state controller for the month were $970 in fines, $218 in surcharges and $210 in civil fees, for a corrected total of $1,098.
Separately, a village official said a snow fence has been erected around the former water-tower site “out of an abundance of caution” while the village awaits further information from the agency referenced in the meeting as “the DC”; the official directed residents to the village website and provided an email contact at Miller@tibbleynewyork.org for questions.
The Village tree committee announced an Arbor Day event set for Saturday, April 26, at 12:30 p.m. at the gazebo. The committee said it will distribute saplings (prioritizing village residents), run a poster contest for children, and host a guided “tree walk” led by a local tree expert.
Also reported in the meeting: 349 trash tags sold; building-permit activity noting 12 permits reviewed and 5 permits issued; code-enforcement activity with one zoning/property-maintenance violation and 13 inspections. The transcript records several of these figures in a department report but does not include full written reports or attachments in the meeting excerpts.
