Fort Worth council approves cultural and administrative resolutions; several consent items carry

Councilmember Macy Hill moved and the council approved a resolution (25-5063) “supporting the renovation and expansion of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame,” with Hill saying the expansion “will significantly enhance 1 of Fort Worth's crown jewels in the cultural district” and that “over two thirds of the required funds for the project have been raised or committed by private philanthropy.” The vote carried without further discussion.
The council also approved a resolution appointing members to the Medical Control Advisory Board (25-5067) and a resolution adding city council work sessions for budget-related presentations (25-5068). Both motions carried on voice votes with no recorded dissents.
Council staff announced two items withdrawn from the agenda (M&C 25-0384 and 25-0382). Staff also moved three items to the June 10 meeting at the request of applicants, including M&C 25-0316 and the pair M&C 25-0320 and its companion zoning case ZC24-162. The consent agenda proceeded with public commenters and the council approved the remaining consent items; the clerk recorded the consent vote as carrying.
Several consent and noncontroversial municipal items were later approved by motion and voice vote throughout the meeting; recusals were recorded where council members disclosed conflicts and filed the required paperwork with the city secretary.
The council adjourned following the action items.
