The allotment of 14 acre-feet — described during the meeting as “a lot of water” — is the first new allocation the city has had since 1995, council members said. The council intends to seek direction on distributing that supply among commercial, residential, affordable-housing, city reserve and municipal-project uses before returning with a proposed division for formal action.
