Truckee's docked e-bike share expands while bike valet use spikes at events

Truckee's seasonal, docked e-bike share and event bike valet programs have grown and are filling a first-last-mile role for residents and visitors, presenters told the Trans-Sierra panel.
"We saw our ridership increase last year by about 53%," Alfred Nottz, Town of Truckee transportation program manager, said, reviewing early-season bike-share performance. "We had about 30,000 miles ridden in our first season and almost 60,000 last year."
Nonprofit Truckee Trails Foundation runs a free bike valet at community events and said usage can exceed 100 bikes at Truckee Thursday and reach 250 bikes at larger airport events. "From day one…
