The Maricopa County Planning and Zoning Commission approved three consent agenda land-use items by roll-call vote, 7-0, at its April 24 meeting.
The consent agenda included: Z2023060 (Peakview), a rezoning to R1-35 RUPD for a 40-acre site; SU240020 (McNeil RV and Boat Storage), a special use permit for outdoor vehicle storage on roughly 1 acre in the rural-43 district; and Z250005 (Modular Solutions), a zone change to Industrial-2 for a 3.9-acre industrial storage yard site in South Phoenix. Staff recommended approval of all three items subject to standard conditions listed in the staff reports.
For SU240020, staff noted no known opposition and recommended approval subject to conditions A through L. For Z250005, staff noted some registered support and recommended approval subject to conditions A through J.
Commissioner Layton moved to approve the consent agenda "as presented by staff." Commissioner Hernandez seconded. The roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval: Commissioners Finter, Hernandez, Layton, Millhaven, Toma, Whitney and Chairman Lindblom all voted yes.
The approvals change zoning and permit status for the listed parcels but do not authorize construction; applicable subdivision, building permit and other regulatory steps remain required before development begins.
