Charles County opens public review for "English 3 D" curriculum resource for English learners

Staff described a gap in current instructional materials for students who perform at varying proficiency levels. The resource will be available for public review at the Starkey Administration Building and on the Charles County Public Schools website through May 9, 2025; staff said targeted outreach will solicit feedback during that period.
The board received the request as an item under review and did not vote to adopt the material at the April meeting. Staff indicated a public-review period and outreach are part of the adoption process.
