Fisk said he did not want to wait until the August cycle to authorize spending and asked the committee to approve a $2 million expansion on the wildlife fund side so work could begin July 1 if needed. Tarkington presented February financials showing the wildlife fund ahead of projections and other routine cash‑management details.
