El Campo ISD honors FCCLA state qualifiers, state-semifinal girls soccer team and announces districtwide national showcase recognition

FCCLA sponsors and culinary instructors introduced students who advanced from region to state competitions in culinary and cupcake-presentation events. Lindsay Panish, FCCLA sponsor and culinary instructor, described student entries and noted state-level placings; she said one student placed 13th in the state culinary arts event and another student finished first in a state cupcake division and earned scholarship money to the Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.
Coach Reeve and girls soccer head coach (Coach O'Ronahoo) introduced the girls soccer team, praised a turnaround in program participation and competition results, and recounted the squad’s progress to the state semifinals. Coach O'Ronahoo noted the team’s 24-4-1 overall record and highlighted individual post-season honors for several players.
Administrators also announced that all five district campuses had been designated national showcase campuses by the Capturing Kids’ Hearts program, qualifying the district as a national showcase district. District administrators said principals have impact data that the district will share later and that campuses would plan celebrations.
Board members and the public applauded the students and coaches during the recognitions; trustees presented certificates and allowed photo opportunities.
