Commission approves administrative rules changes, multiple airport construction actions and consultant contracts

The Oklahoma Aerospace and Aeronautics Commission approved administrative rule updates and several airport construction actions during its Jan. 22 meeting, taking roll-call votes on multiple consent-docket items and project approvals.

Rules: The commission voted to approve recommended changes to administrative rules in Title 25 affecting the Airport Construction Program and the Aerospace and Aviation Education Grant Program. Michelle presented the rule impact statements and told commissioners public hearings had produced no attendees and only one electronic comment; staff recommended approval. A roll-call vote recorded Commissioners Phillips, Ortega, Ritz, Chairman Rainey, Putnam and Hunter as voting “Aye.” Motion passes.

Airport construction change orders: The commission approved two change orders that staff recommended for funding adjustments: removal and replacement of unstable subgrade for two executive box hangars at Okmulgee Regional Airport (additional estimated cost $57,404 shared among federal, state and sponsor funds) and construction of an all-weather gravel access road at Prague Municipal Airport…
