San Ramon welcomes Jennifer Wakeman as new finance director

City Manager introduced Jennifer Wakeman to the City Council on March 11 as San Ramon’s new director of finance. The manager said Wakeman brings more than 22 years of experience in municipal finance, most recently as assistant administrative services director for the city of Lafayette, and noted awards and leadership roles with the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO).
Jennifer Wakeman addressed council members and said she grew up in Moraga, has lived in Lafayette for 19 years and is honored to serve San Ramon. She said she looks forward to working with internal finance staff and the leadership team on financial reporting and upcoming budget work; several council members welcomed her and said they had heard positive references from Lafayette area contacts and CSMFO colleagues.
