Clinton council ratifies Genevieve Miller to planning commission

Mayor Brandon Stenger and the Clinton City Council on April 22 unanimously ratified the appointment of Genevieve Miller to the Clinton City Planning Commission for a three-year term.
The appointment fills a vacancy on the planning commission. Council members said Miller, who currently serves on the city’s RAP Tax committee, indicated she would step down from that committee if appointed and expressed interest in learning more about planning work for the city.
Council member Marie Doherty said she had spoken with Miller before the meeting and found her "excited to serve" and motivated to work for the community. A council member moved to ratify Miller’s appointment and another council member seconded; a roll call vote followed and the motion passed unanimously.
The planning commission’s next regular meeting is scheduled for May 1. The mayor said he is continuing to review additional applicants so the commission can return to full membership in a future meeting.
