Austin FreeNet outlines device-distribution strategy, asks for donated phones, chargers and connectivity support

Austin FreeNet runs a “Learn In Our” device program that gives refurbished computers to eligible adults and pairs device distribution with training and one‑on‑one ‘digital navigator’ sessions, Vargas said. The program launched in February 2022 in partnership with the city’s Community PC program; devices come with a one‑year warranty through that program.
