The Sacramento Area Sewer District will launch its next annual employee-engagement survey in May, part of an ongoing program the district said has raised staff engagement since 2022.
Training and organizational-development manager Jennifer Weitz told the board on April 23 that the district moved from an internal "Workplace of Choice" effort to Gallup—s Q12 approach two to three years ago because Gallup—s research links higher engagement scores to better organizational performance and improved employee wellness. Weitz said the district will field the next Q12 survey in May and begin action planning after results are returned.
