The Del City City Council took several consent and action votes April 21 during its regular meeting. Key outcomes:
- Minutes: The council approved the minutes of the April 7, 2025 regular meeting (with an amendment to correct the spelling of a speaker’s name) and approved minutes of an April 14 special meeting. Votes recorded as aye by the council.
- Resolution 04212025A (payroll adjustment): The council approved Resolution No. 04212025A authorizing payroll adjustments within Fund 01, Fund 34 and Fund 35 and authorizing the city manager to issue a one-time payment as agreed by council. The council also authorized the mayor to endorse the resolution. Vote: unanimous.
- Blue Cross Blue Shield contract amendment (employee health insurance): Council approved amending the current calendar year 2025 contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma to include the “Lehi Access” program beginning Sept. 1, 2025, at no additional cost. The council authorized the mayor or city manager to endorse the amendment. Vote: unanimous.
- Concession services contract (swim season): The council approved entering a contract with Polar Rush LLC as the most responsible bidder for concession services for the 2025 swim season (RFP #2604) and authorized the mayor or city manager to endorse the agreement. Vote: unanimous.
- Renewal of animal shelter contract: The council approved renewing the contract with the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter for FY2026 (July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026) at a cost of $185 per animal and authorized the mayor to endorse the contract. Vote: unanimous.
Each item was introduced with staff comments and received a motion and second before a recorded vote. Several items were handled as part of the consent/regular agenda with limited discussion.
Other authority boards (Del City Municipal Services Authority and Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund) also met in succession; trustees approved a trust payroll adjustment resolution and approved the retirement application of David Ellis, a city employee retiring after more than 27 years of service.
