Chadwick said the shop (Northview Plaza) will perform off-road upgrades and bolt-on accessories but not heavy repairs or painting. - Rezoning: The council approved a request to rezone multiple parcels in the Far West Landing area to a regional commercial zone (C-3/2700 North Regional Commercial Zone), contingent on the developer closing on the properties and recording the transaction with the county. Planning Commission vice chair Lyle had recommended the rezoning pending the applicant’s closing. - Street maintenance contracts: The council awarded 2025–26 street-maintenance work. The 1850 North chip-seal project was awarded to LaGrande Johnson; edge mill-and-overlay work was awarded to Asphalt Construction and Excavating. Council members said they reviewed bids, spoke with staff and felt comfortable with the recommended low bidders. One local contractor attending the meeting (Fastwell Construction) confirmed small spreadsheet rounding had been corrected and remained the low bidder on his items.
