Sydney Cooper, community planner for District 2, convened a virtual meeting of the newly formed Pikesville Downtown Partnership (PDP) to introduce county agency representatives and share the PDP’s 2025 work plan. The plan centers on revitalizing the Pikesville Commercial Revitalization District (CRD) with streetscaping, public art, improvements to parking wayfinding, façade upgrades and a slate of community events.
The PDP was formed in January 2025 to implement the Pikesville Revitalization Action Plan (PRAP), which the Department of Planning said was adopted by the County Council in December 2021. "The PRAP outlines the strategies, goals and projects that are focused on the revitalization of Pikesville's Commercial District," Cooper said during the meeting.
