Buckeye economic development office urges residents to attend April job fair, highlights local career options

Wright said the initiative is designed to help residents find “great jobs closer to home.” He told attendees that while new West Valley facilities may not look like downtown office towers, “the office buildings look different but the jobs inside—they're the same.”
The program aims to reduce long commutes by connecting residents with employers in Buckeye and the West Valley. Wright described a recent partner site as a 1 million-square-foot facility with a mix of roles, saying it hires “pickers, loaders, drivers,” along with corporate positions, security staff, cafeteria workers and on-site medical staff.
“The career you're looking for might already be right here in Buckeye inside one of these amazing facilities,” Wright said. He encouraged job seekers to register for the April event; meeting organizers displayed a QR code for same-day registration and Wright said attendees can contact the Ready to Work program for career guidance.
Wright listed specific occupational areas employers at these facilities are recruiting for, including office and administrative work, security, information technology, cafeteria and medical staff, and logistics and operations.
No formal vote or city action was recorded during the remarks. The presentation was an informational outreach by the City of Buckeye’s economic development office about workforce connections and the city-run Ready to Work initiative.
City staff did not announce a specific date in April or provide a web link during the remarks; Wright said only that the job fair will be held in April at City Hall East, the Landing Facility. Contact information and registration were available via the QR code shown at the presentation, and Wright invited residents to reach out to the economic development office for additional support.
