Councilmember Reyes introduced an amendment to a motion defining categories of parcels that could be candidates for conversion into community gardens, neighborhood parks, greenways, wetlands, alleys or other open-space uses. "These are parcels that have been neglected, parcels that aren't being considered for built-out environments," Councilmember Reyes said while introducing the amendment. The council approved the amended motion on a voice/roll call with 12 ayes.
