The City of Oxnard Public Works and Transportation Committee on April 22 recommended that City Council adopt a resolution listing projects to be funded in whole or in part by Senate Bill 1 (SB1) Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) funds for fiscal year 2025–26.
Morgan Kessler, City Engineer, told the committee SB1 — enacted by the state in 2017 — funnels RMRA money to local agencies by formula. “So this year, the City of Oxnard is receiving about $5,300,000 in RMRA funding,” Kessler said.
