Following executive session on Oct. 8, the Board of Education approved personnel recommendations the superintendent presented, the board chair said.
"The superintendent recommends the approval of personnel matters as discussed in executive assembly," the superintendent said during the open session. Board member Eddie Johnson moved to approve the recommendations and Anderson Bailey seconded the motion. The chair called for the voice vote; the motion carried after an affirmative voice vote with no opposing votes recorded in the public session.
The board did not discuss the substance of the personnel items in open session; the superintendent introduced the action as a recommendation resulting from executive-session discussion. No individual personnel names, positions, or additional details were presented in the public record during the meeting.
The board then adjourned the special call meeting.
