Board of Zoning Appeals elects chair and vice chair at April meeting

At the close of the April hearing the Carroll County BZA elected Melvin as chair and a board member as vice chair in uncontested votes.
At the close of the Carroll County Board of Zoning Appeals meeting, the board conducted elections for officers. A board member nominated Melvin for chairman; the nomination was seconded and approved by voice vote with one recorded opposition. The board then nominated and confirmed a vice‑chair by self‑nomination and second, also approved by voice vote.
The chair declared the meeting adjourned after the officer elections. The board recorded the results of the votes in the hearing and indicated the usual procedures for assuming officer responsibilities would follow.
