At the airport board report, board members introduced Christopher Marshall as the new airport director. Board members also described a recent Federal Aviation Administration inspection as overall positive and said the board is beginning to consider names for the fixed-base operator (FBO) as terminal improvements continue. No formal naming decision or implementation timeline was announced.
The commission thanked staff and community partners for organizing the career fair and noted the city will continue to work with employers and education partners to develop workforce pathways. Specific funding for new training programs or timelines for an aviation-maintenance program were not provided at the meeting.
