Board of Real Estate Appraisers reviews roles, plans rule review and approves two complaint actions

Board of Real Estate Appraisers Chair Daisy Glassburn presided over a virtual meeting in which division staff reviewed the board’s authority and relationship with the Division of Real Estate and the Attorney General’s Office, the board set July agenda items for rule review and a potential requirement that respondents submit to investigator interviews, discussed two vacancies on the board and approved staff recommendations on two complaint matters.

The division’s representative Marsha, Division of Real Estate staff, told the board that “the Board of Real Estate Appraisers is the type 1 board which means you guys are policy making.” She outlined that the board approves or denies license applications, investigates complaints, makes disciplinary decisions and develops policy through rulemaking, while the division assists, implements delegated authority for straightforward licensing and manages resources and investigations.
