Votes at a glance: supervisors adopt Mission Rock leases, parks grants, Van Ness formula‑retail changes and heritage resolutions

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors on April 22 adopted a set of ordinances, resolutions and committee reports covering park leases, grant funding, planning code changes and heritage month recognitions.

Key outcomes: the board approved a port commission park lease and related agreements for China Basin Park and Mission Rock; the Recreation and Parks Department received grant authority to accept roughly $1.125 million from Wu Yi Children’s Services for Tenderloin playground improvements and approximately $5 million in cash and in‑kind support from KaBOOM for up to eight play sites; an amendment to the administrative code permitting city departments to buy content and data subscriptions without standard solicitation requirements passed on first reading; and the board removed conditional‑use requirements for some formula retail uses on Van Ness Avenue and established a special sign district at 3250 Nineteenth Avenue, both on first reading.
