The commission heard that CEOAB (the County economic-development advisory board) recommended using its allocation on portable seating and that James Dixon (GoYO) plans to meet with local CEOAB boards to review funding guidelines. Commissioners asked staff to pursue potential reallocation or additional grant funding and to explore donated or discounted concrete/work for an ADA-accessible platform the arena would need.
Votes and procurement details: the motion to approve the $19,745 purchase request (stage and small portable bleachers) passed after discussion; a separate motion to approve the towable bleachers, vendor contact Chris Ledford/Granite Industries, for $29,680 also passed.
