The board approved an out-of-state same-day field trip to Carlsbad Caverns for a small resource-class student group; an annual staff-development-minutes waiver to allow the district to bank 2,100 minutes for weather/emergency use; and the waiver application for the missed school day on March 14, 2025, when the district closed due to high winds. Trustees also ratified the district's required TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) certification for curriculum alignment.
