Staff said federal CRTPO funding would cover most study costs if selected. Motion passed unanimously.
Pavement-condition update contract — approved Council approved a contract with ESP Associates, Inc. not to exceed $45,515 to update the town’s pavement-condition database and inventory newer streets taken over since 2021, including locating speed humps and producing GIS files. Motion passed unanimously.
Resolution opposing House Bill 765 — approved Council unanimously approved a resolution opposing House Bill 765 and similar 2025 bills that staff said would preempt local land-use authority, eliminate certain public hearings and add retroactive standards. Staff urged the council to forward the resolution as part of a statewide coalition of municipalities monitoring planning-and-development proposals.
Other votes recorded at the meeting included the design contract for a new park access road (Lawrence Associates, not to exceed $49,500) and approval to proceed with the Hays Road–Faircroft Way interlocal agreement.
