The Boise City Council voted to approve two zoning-related ordinances on third reading and took several routine actions on consent and appointments during its meeting.
On third reading the council approved ORD-13-25, a rezoning for property at 90908 Whitewater Park Boulevard from R-2 (residential compact) to R-3 (residential urban), and ORD-14-25, annexing roughly 3.1 acres in Ada County and designating the annexed land I-1 (light industrial) with accompanying sensitive lands overlay and recording directions. Council members voted to dispense with further reading and then approved both ordinances; the record shows the motions carried with all members voting in favor.
On the consent agenda the council approved Resolution 20325, an agreement with the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) to close a sidewalk gap at West Firecrest as part of the Goddard Linear Park project. The council briefed the improvement as an opportunity to close an existing sidewalk gap and improve the neighborhood.
Councilmembers also gave unanimous consent to appoint Finnegan Kressler Radloff, a Boise State student and aspiring pilot, as a student commissioner to the Boise Airport Commission for a term ending March 2026. Council members praised the value of having student perspectives on commissions and noted the appointee’s aviation-related internships and interest.
Earlier in the meeting staff read by number and title only ORD-15-205 (CAR 24-14) involving a proposed zoning amendment for property at 10100 West Overland Road; that ordinance was filed for second reading and will return to the council for a subsequent hearing.
No votes failed; where roll-call answers were recorded the clerk read members’ responses and the mayor declared the motions carried.
