Documentation and vetting documents are due to the commissioners’ office in Room 305 of the Civic Center Complex by 12 p.m. on May 2. Online bidding for approved purchasers is set to run May 5–9 on Kern Miller’s website.
The county said purchasers must also provide proof of prior completed projects involving environmentally challenged properties. The sale will proceed only for purchasers who meet the vetting requirements and are approved to bid on the Kern Miller site.
Commissioners recorded the starting bid and the timetable at the meeting; the procurement and environmental oversight responsibilities will rest with the eventual purchaser, including potential EPA oversight costs as noted in the notice.
