The Vanderburgh County Board of Commissioners voted April 22 to award contract VC25-3-1 for milling and resurfacing to E and B Paving LLC, the lowest bidder, at $1,247,279.63.
County staff said the contract covers portions of Darmstadt, Crestle, St. Joe, Baseline and Highline roads. Commissioners noted the county received a Community Crossings grant through NDOT that will fund 50% of the contract cost.
County engineering staff did not yet provide a contractor schedule, but staff said they expect work to move forward in summer 2025 and the contract lists a 2025 completion date.
The contract award was approved by roll call vote. Commissioners answered “yes” during the roll call recorded at the meeting, and the contract will proceed to scheduling and contractor coordination.
