Ralston enrollment dips slightly; district tracks midterm graduates and withdrawals as graduation numbers adjust

The presentation said the district’s working graduation count that morning was about 221 students, which includes midterm graduates.
Administrators said some senior withdrawals represent students who have moved to other districts or stopped attending; withdrawals are counted as removed from district enrollment but can return and enroll later. The district is working with the Educational Service Unit (ESU) to ensure fifth- and sixth-year graduates are properly included in state reporting and said it monitors enrollment changes frequently during this period.
Board members asked follow-up questions about how withdrawals and midterm graduates are recorded and how those figures impact graduation planning and ceremony logistics. Staff said they review the numbers every few days during the end-of-year period and will update the board as counts change.
