Officials said the state’s reciprocal certification process has helped recruitment from nearby states, and the district works closely with the state certification officer to expedite out-of-state hires where appropriate.
Administrators said staffing remains a top priority; they continue to recruit actively, sometimes converting staff who started as pair-to-teacher participants into full-time hires. They noted recent setbacks (a journalism hire who could not fulfill the contract) but said the district expects to fill remaining vacancies before the school year.
