The Orderville Town Planning and Zoning Commission on April 30, 2025, voted to recommend approval to the Town Council of a conditional use permit to allow the home at 411 Strawberry Circle to operate as a vacation rental, the commission chair said.
Commissioners referenced the town's short-term rental provisions and standard conditions in the ordinance. One participant identified as "Alex" said they would abstain from voting on the matter. The commission then moved, seconded and approved the recommendation by voice vote; no individual roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript.
A staff member noted the property is on the Quarter Circle/Gold Ring area and has adequate parking; commissioners said compliance with the town's short-term rental requirements (which include conditions in the town's ordinance) will be part of council review. The chair invited a motion; following a second, members voted in favor. The commission recorded no further conditions beyond those already in the ordinance.
The commission's recommendation will be forwarded to Town Council for final action.
