Staff said the property has been used for industrial purposes and the owner (identified in the presentation as Sure Shot) also owns adjacent planned industrial property.
Staff said there was no opposition at the Planning Commission hearing and that the Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend the rezoning. The council moved the item to the public hearing and first reading at the Monday council meeting; staff indicated the second reading could occur in May and that no immediate quick turnaround was needed.
